Everyone has differing views on politics. This is where I post items that I find worthy.
I was in my neighborhood restaurant this morning and was seated behind a group of jubilant individuals celebrating the coming implementation of the health care bill. I could not finish my breakfast. This is what ensued:
They were a diverse group of several races and both sexes. I heard a young man exclaim, “Isn’t Obam...a like Jesus Christ? I mean, after all, he is healing the sick.”Read more: Obamacare Lesson
"A bump in the road" .... remember that calloused statement?
I don't know the author of this poem … received it today. Very thought provoking and poignant.
I do recall, however, the President referring to the Benghazi incident as "a bump in the road." Today I heard an ex-Navy Seal being interviewed on Fox News regarding a book he has written about how to handle crisis situations in our lives. At the end of the interview he asked if he could make a comment on Benghazi and of course the anchor said yes. He then thanked Fox News for keeping the Benghazi story in the news, since other news organizations are not. He said the Seals who died deserve the public knowing the truth about the whole affair.
The poem was written by a MARINE CORPS Officer (ANON).Read more: A Bump in the Road
Before you read Maureen Scott? article below, think of something President Obama has said or done that was profoundly patriotic or so uniquely pro American that it will follow him long after he leaves office. Most of us can remember the words of JFK Ask not?..? and Reagan? Take down that?.? and the image of Bush using the bullhorn at ground zero to name a few instances from former presidents.
Maureen Scott is an ardent American patriot who was born in Pittsburgh, PA, and retired to Richmond, VA, in 2000. Free from the nine-to-five grind of writing for employers and clients, she began writing political commentary to please herself and express her convictions, as do I. Our Pledge of Allegiance, a military band playing the National Anthem, and the wisdom of our Founding Fathers, inspire her passion and views. Her life is guided by a firm belief that truth is the most important virtue, and that God knows what He is doing with her. She is my guest writer today, for I could have never said it better. Please take the time to read and listen to this good American woman. I believe you will be glad you did. I give you Maureen Scott.Read more: Obama Editorial
Obamacare is getting the blame for destroying a lot of jobs, but give credit where it’s due: the new health care law is also creating a slew of high-paying jobs – for Washington lobbyists. And here’s the really infuriating news: the Hill newspaper reports that more than 30 former Obama administration officials, congressional staffers and even Congress members who helped write and pass the Obamacare bill have set up shop in DC as health care lobbyists, to help their clients dodge the harm that’s being wrought by their own creation. You see, the Obamacare bill itself was nearly 2,000 pages, but those were mostly orders to create thousands more laws and rules and regulations. That offers all kinds of opportunities for a well-connected lobbyist to get loopholes inserted to benefit his clients. And the clients will pay handsomely, because the savings could be huge. Delta Airlines announced that they expect Obamacare mandates to raise their health care costs by a hundred million dollars next year.
It’s no wonder the selfless public servants who gave us Obamacare aren’t worried about what it will do to our health care or our insurance costs. They’re making sure that they’ll always be able to afford the best doctors money can buy.
For too long the American people have been too complacent about the workings of Congress. The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform that passed ... in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn't seem logical. We do not have an elite that is above the law. I truly don't care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The self-serving must stop.
Governors of 35 states have filed suit against the Federal Government for imposing unlawful burdens upon them. It only takes 38 (of the 50) States to convene a Constitutional Convention.Read more: Politicians
E.W. Jackson’s vision inspired and united Richmond and his words have rocked Virginia. We need your help to continue to spread the agenda to help keep Virginia the best state to do business in America, to empower our families to have a choice in how their children are educated, and to bring all Virginians together based on the very shared values that founded this great nation.
The Democrats and their allies are scared. They’re afraid of voices that seek to inspire and unite instead of deride and divide. They’re afraid of people who are willing to stand up and fight for the values that matter most to them and their communities.
They’re afraid of YOU. They want you to give up. Let’s tell them that we’re not going anywhere!

From a Recon Marine in Afghanistan
From the Sand Pit.. It's freezing here. I'm sitting on hard, cold dirt between rocks and shrubs at the base of the Hindu Kush Mountains along the Dar 'yoi Pomir River , watching a hole that leads to a tunnel that leads to a cave. Stake out, my friend, and no pizza delivery for thousands of miles.Read more: Marine in...
An Air Force Fighter Pilot's Version of Benghazi
I would say every US fighter pilot, retired or on active duty, knows that Panetta and Dempsey both are full of crap when they said there was no time to send help to Benghazi . They claim it was a problem of "time/space." All my friends and I said, "Bullshit." We know they could have gotten F-16s there from Aviano.
"Hands" Handley is a well-respected USAF fighter pilot. Here is his short resume and what he just wrote about Benghazi below that. If anything, Handley is pessimistic in his timeline of when F-16s could have reached Benghazi . I think they could have been airborne even sooner and turned quicker at Sig. The decision to not try was not based on capability. We had the operational capability in every way.
I hope Handley's taxes are in order. His IRS audit is forthcoming.Read more: A Hero's Version...
When the Catholic Church was founded, there were no hospitals. Today, one out of five people in this country receive their medical care at a Catholic hospital.
When the Catholic Church was founded, there were no schools. Today, the Catholic Church teaches 3 million students a day, in its more than 250 Catholic Colleges and Universities, in its more than 1200 Catholic High Schools and its more than 5000 Catholic grade schools.
Every day, the Catholic Church feeds, clothes, shelters and educates more people than any other organization in the world.
The new Obama Health Mandate could end all this and the tax payers would have to make up the loss.
Also, all Catholic adoption services would come to an end; a human disaster.
There are more than 77 million Catholics in this country. It takes an estimated 50 million Catholic votes to elect a president. I am asking all of you to go to the polls in 2014 and be united in replacing all Senators and Reps with someone who will respect the Catholic Church, all Christians, and all Religions with perhaps the exception of Islam.
Mr. President, you said, "The USA is not a Christian Nation". You are wrong we are a Christian Nation founded on Judeo-Christian values allowing all religions in America to Worship & Practice Freely. Something Islam will never do.
Oh, by the way, on MUSLIM HERITAGE IN America ...
Have you ever been to a Muslim hospital, heard a Muslim orchestra, seen a Muslim band march in a parade, know of a Muslim charity, ever seen Muslims shaking hands with a Muslim Girl Scout, or ever seen a Muslim Candy Striper volunteering in a hospital?
Have you ever seen a Muslim do much of anything that contributes positively to the American way of life?
DON'T KEEP THIS - please SEND IT OUT TO YOUR LIST Let’s circulate this to as many as possible.
Retired Marine Col. Pete Martino voiced his concerns about the United States “building a domestic Army” during a local city council meeting in Concord, New Hampshire. Col. Marino believes that the current militarization of police forces is a real threat to Americans.
If you recall, Barack Obama suggest such a force when he ran for his first term back in 2008:
“We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”Read more: The US Is...
